joint-managing conservator<\/a> with exclusive right to determine the primary residency of the children. As a result, the other parent is named the joint-managing conservator without this exclusive right.<\/p>\nThe rights and duties are shared or divided in the best interests of the children. The court\u2019s main goal is to ensure that children will have frequent and continuing contact with parents who have shown the ability to act in the best interest of the children.<\/p>\n
In addition, they should\u00a0 provide a safe, stable, and non-violent environment for the children. Parents are encouraged to share in the rights and responsibilities of raising their children after the divorce.<\/p>\n
2 – Sole-Managing Conservatorship<\/h3>\n
Not very common. It is usually reserved for the most egregious cases of poor parenting. For instance, ongoing addiction physical, mental, emotional abuse or neglect. In addition, a missing party; and a situation where a party has abandoned the family or is incarcerated.<\/p>\n
